Working Your Marketing Plan - Part 3

So your house has been on the market, for you, what seems a long time.  Don't panic!  Here are some additional ideas to make your home "show ready".

BATHROOMS
Keep them clean at all times
No spots or dust on mirrors
Keep toilet seats down
Empty wastebaskets
Clean shower or tub/shower glass doors
Lubricate a sliding shower door
Remove soap residue, mildew & mold
Remove stains from sink, tub & toilet
Replace old shower curtains
Clean tile grout
Make sure toilets seat and function properly
Make sure septic tank is odor free
Clean and/or repair exhaust fan/heater
  
CLOSETS
Keep closets free of clutter
Pack away nonessentials
Adjust/repair all closet doors
Lubricate sliding door hardware
Paint the closet if needed

GARAGE/CARPORT/SHED
Keep area clean & uncluttered
Hang up/put away all tools
Clear away any cobwebs
Remove oil/paint stains from the floor
Adjust the overhead garage door
Lubricate/repair garage door opener
Paint if needed

BASEMENT
Eliminate any signs of dampness
Check for and eliminate cracks
Make it as well lit as possible

HEATING/AIR CONDITIONING UNIT
Vacuum
Replace filter
Clean intake vent
Clean fins on wall units
